Virtuous Strength

"She hath girded her loins with strength, and hath strengthened her arm."

In what ways is the virtuous woman strong? How is her strength a reflection of God? How must she be meek in order to be strong? And how must she be strong in order to be meek?

The virtuous woman is strong physically, spiritually, and emotionally. She sees the importance of her strength in tending her home and her children. She knows that she must be independent and yet rely on her spouse. She is not afraid of her strength for she knows the boundaries that her feminine nature impose upon her. She is meek in the shadow of God and her spouse and a tower of strength to her children. She holds the family together under the heaviest of crosses and deals with her emotions quickly and thoroughly. All others, and first of all her family, must see the Blessed Mother in her strength and fortitude.
